Jon REV is based in Premnay near Insch and composes original music using a wide variety of synthesizers and samplers and live instruments. He is recognised for his electric violin playing and for his own unique compositions. Although trained in classical and folk styles of music, he is particularly influenced by modern dance and ambient music. A semi-professional musician since 1994, Jon has been very active on the gigging scene with as many as 171 gigs in one year and with tours of Holland and Germany. He was a full-time member of the band ‘The Fife’ and part-time member of the band ‘Crann Tara’, and now gigs as ‘R.E.V. Beat Unlimited’ both solo and with other musicians.
