A little to the south of the village of Auchleven, on rising ground overlooking the Gadie Burn and sheltered by Bennachie, stands Lickleyhead, serene in its tranquil garden. The oldest part of the castle dates back to 1499 and the 2 storey wing was added in the 18th century.
